New RESPA/TILA changes and rules will go into effect in late 2015, changing the closing process significantly. Major changes include the new "Loan Estimate" (LE) form that replaces the Good Faith Estimate (GFE) and the initial Truth-in-Lending disclosure that must be given to the consumer within three business days of application. Also the new "Closing Disclosure" (CD) form will replace and combine the final Truth-in-Lending disclosure and must be received by the consumer within three days before consumation of the loan.

Join Kim Rosenberg, title counsel with Attorneys Title, and Susan Benoit, a partner with Hutchens Law Firm to learn more about these important changes and what you and your clients need to know to be ready. Rosenberg provides legal support and advice to title offices across the state. Rosenberg currently serves on the North Carolina Land Title Assocation Executive Board as general counsel and as chair of the Loss Prevention Committee. She recently completed a three-year term on the Real Property Section Council.

Benoit is a partner with Hutchens Law Firm where she oversees the North Carolina Real Estate Practice. She graduated from Campbell University where she obtained her undergraduate and law degree. She was admitted to the NC State bar in 2004.
