The Housing Opportunity Foundation is sponsoring the new four-hour Employer Assisted Housing (EAH) class in partnership with the National Association of Realtors®. The class, previously known as the Home From Work™ program, has been updated to include additional information, tools and resources to help participants implement what they learn.
Rising housing costs create problems for people who can't afford to live close to their jobs. The EAH class encourages Realtors® to become advocates for expanding housing opportunities. Specifically, the program teaches how to effectively promote workforce-housing initiatives at the grassroots level and to work with local employers to establish an EAH benefit.
The program provides the tools necessary to work with area employers to promote housing opportunities for their workforces and to become advocates for expanding housing opportunities. This gives Realtors® a unique opportunity to assist homebuyers while expanding their market with major employers.
After completing the class, participants will be ready to approach employers, advocate for EAH programs and help employers put programs in place.
If you are currently enrolled in the Workforce Housing Certificate Program, this workshop is required for graduation. This class is open to all association/CMLS members.
